To get to the ceremony site, we followed Matt up a mountain pass. In case we lost him on the road (his bride was waiting and he was excited) we had a google maps pin dropped in the middle the national forest and some vague verbal directions to find the trail. Little did he know, photographing mountain elopements aren’t just another day at the office for us- they’re our favorite day at the office, they’re like the best casual Friday you can imagine. We pushed our economy rental car to the limit to keep up, and when we arrived, we found that the drive was well worth it. Matt had put so much time and attention into finding the perfect spot. Their people and their puppy all hiked down the trail and chose a spot near the lake with a good view of where the bride would be coming down.

Serene alpine lakes are a sight to behold; but Matt, and everyone else there that day, will attest that the scenery seemed to loose its color when Andrea rounded the corner and walked down that forested isle.

The next day, their friends and family gathered for one of the most epic parties we’ve been a part of. Imagine curated food stations, jungle-like florals, and a live band who kept the hits coming. The energy was so high that all the guests stayed on the dance floor ‘till they were kicked out and headed to a bar downtown to keep the party rolling - and you know it, we were there too!
